Invitation: Please join us at our next stakeholder meeting to learn about how Maine fleets are using idle-reduction technology and policies to reduce costs and fuel consumption. Eric Willett, Fleet Supervisor for the City of Bangor will discuss the success of their public fleet’s various idle-reduction strategies, and Maine Clean Communities staff will provide an overview of idle-reduction resources available through our coalition.
Lynne Cayting, Mobile Sources Section Chief from Maine Dept. of Environmental Protection will also join us to discuss the US EPA’s Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program opportunities in Maine (see below for more info), as well as provide updates on the recent Volkswagen emissions-cheating scandal settlement, and how some of the funds could help Maine fleets reduce their emissions.
