Cooking for Community, a grass-roots initiative started in response to the coronavirus pandemic, has forged a network of local farms, restaurants and social-service agencies. In five weeks, Cooking for Community has raised over $215,000 in donations, growing from two restaurants to nine and serving meals to people from eight different social networks.
