Transportation Planning Toolkit
In 2019, GPCOG developed the Inclusive Transportation Planning Toolkit (PDF) to support planners, consultants, and municipalities in advancing access to the planning process. The Toolkit offers local and national resources on best practices for accessible and inclusive planning.
Inclusive & Accessible Virtual Engagement: Lessons from the Field
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic – and the required physical distancing – virtual spaces and tools are being utilized for the public participation process. While virtual tools help eliminate mobility and time barriers, their use can create other obstacles that lead to exclusion of older adults, people with disabilities, people with limited English proficiency and those with limited access to technology. The Inclusive & Accessible Virtual Engagement: Lessons from the Field looks at how these challenges can be addressed to ensure we maximize engagement of the most vulnerable among us in the decisions that affect their lives.
Civil Rights Data Dashboard
PACTS is developing tools – including this Civil Rights Data Dashboard – to more consistently and comprehensively evaluate its plans and programs for compliance with civil rights mandates. PACTS will use the maps to improve efficiency in the planning process and to assist in evaluating outcomes for the community – especially protected populations.
