Beginning at noon March 17, 2020 and continuing through April 1, municipal buildings in New Gloucester will be closed to the public. This includes:
  • Town Hall. Staff will remain on duty to process payments and applications mailed to or dropped off at the town hall. New vehicle registrations and titling will be done by appointment only (call 207-926-4126 ext. 1)
  • Library. Staff will remain on duty. Due dates are planned to be extended; information will be provided about online and audio books (visit www.newgloucesterlibrary.org). All events and regular programming are cancelled.
  • Fire and Rescue Building. Essential member training and coordination will continue. Call 911 for emergency services.
  • Community Building/Parks and Recreation. Staff will be on duty, but all programming is cancelled.
  • Public Works Building.
All board and committee meetings except Board of Selectmen meetings and community programming have been cancelled until April 1, 2020. The public is urged to follow social distancing strategies. As the situation evolves, the town will adjust its course of action accordingly. Visit this site or the Town of New Gloucester site for updates.
