Following a special Town Council meeting, held remotely except for the Council chair and Town Manager John Eldridge, the town manager issued a proclamation declaring a civil emergency and ordering non-essential businesses to close for at least seven days. Healthcare, pharmacies, food and grocery stores (but no dining except for drive-through and takeout), financial institutions, and others are among those deemed essential. Refer to the proclamation for a complete listing.
