GPCOG provides a range of planning services to our members including comprehensive planning, neighborhood master planning, ordinance development and interpretation, and workshop facilitation. We serve as a resource to help our cities and towns assess their planning needs and develop tailored approaches.
Our planning services are funded with municipal dues, as well as with grants from Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) and the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. For larger projects, a fee-for-service contract can be arranged. We are also able to assist our members with finding additional technical and financial resources to help make sure the region’s planning needs are met.
Recently, GPCOG has assisted many communities complete the inventory chapters of their comprehensive plans, including Portland, Cape Elizabeth, and Durham. GPCOG also completed the South Portland West End Neighborhood Master Plan, which received press coverage and has already started to make a real difference in the community!
If your community is interested in exploring opportunities for additional planning services, please contact Jessa Berna, Land Use Planner, 207-774-9891 ext. 210 or email@example.com.
