Responsibilities
Emily manages GPCOG’s community outreach and engagement efforts. Emily with project teams across the organization to implement best practices of engagement with members of the public, community groups and organizations. For each project, the end goal is to produce well-informed and equitable plans for Greater Portland communities.
Experience
Emily supported outreach and engagement efforts to key affordable housing stakeholders in Central Coast, California while serving as a Housing Specialist for Monterey Bay Economic Partnership. She then served as Executive Director of the Santa Cruz County Business Council, working to promote policies and projects that made Santa Cruz County a better place to live, work, and do business. The networks and policy frameworks she built within these two organizations are still being developed and implemented in local communities today.
Education
Emily has a B.A. in International Relations and Anthropology from the University of New Hampshire and an M.P.A. from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She is also certified in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language (TEFL/TESL). She speaks English and French.
